Christina Lorenson doesn't remember a time in her life when she wasn't swimming. She joined a YMCA swim team in her hometown of Salem, Massachusetts when she was 8 years old and competed for 10 years.  As an adult she has become both an open water swimming enthusiast and pool competitor. In 2017, she became certified as an Adult Learn to Swim Instructor and and Level 1 and 2 Masters Swim Coach. She joined the teaching staff at Kent and started the Masters Swim Club there in 2018.  Her most recent challenges was to continue swimming outside all year(no wetsuit!) to compete at the Winter Swim Festival at Lake Mememphegg in Newport Vermont, as well as a 10 mile swim around the north half of Jamestown.

Christina believes swimming can be a sport for everyone and loves sharing her joy of swimming with people of all abilities.
